Creepy Creature

For this assignment we were told to create a creepy creature by combining an animal and an object. I took my approach of combining a flamethrower and a toucan together very literally at first. It was not until later that I realized we needed to combine their qualities.

Sketches

The first three sketches show my literal combination of a flamethrower and a toucan. The last two sketches show the creation of what would be my creature. I ended up changing my design to include the combination of a toucan and hair trimmers. This way I could include the creepy fact that it lives off of consuming human hair.

Character Sheet

After figuring out what I wanted my creature to be, we created the character sheet to describe to others what our creature is like. This is when I created all of the colors and features of Vesquatos. His mouth splits in two, his fingers are long and hairy, and he loves a good serving of human hair. This is also when I decided that Vesquatos was a very small creature similar in size to a humming bird.

Turntable

After getting the full character design completed, we then went into Zbrush and we created a rotating 3D model of our creature. This helped to fully bring the character to life.
